According to Constitution of Global Compact Network China (hereinafter referred to as “China Network”), China Network organized the first session of governing board members contact person meeting on 19th of January, 2012, to discuss and deploy work in the coming period.
Sinopec, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, State Grid Corporation of China, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, General Electric China Company, Nestle China Company, BASF Group China Company and Novozymes China Company attended this meeting. Mr. Cheng Duosheng, Deputy Director of Employer Works Department of CEC chaired the meeting. Mr. Liu Peng, Deputy Director-general of CEC delivered an opening speech.
In the Opening session, Mr. Cheng Duosheng made an introduction of his participation in Global Compact Board Meeting held in New York last December. Participants actively discussed across topics like structure improvement of China Network, establishment of Experts Committee of China Network, how to promote Chinese companies’ engagement in Rio+20 and work plan of China Network in 2012(draft version).
